Why our boarding is different

At What-A-Canine, we know how much your dog means to you. That’s why we’re here to make sure your dog enjoys a safe, fun, and comfortable stay while you’re away. Our team is dedicated to creating a stress-free, engaging environment with around-the-clock care, giving you peace of mind and giving your dog a chance to play, socialize, and relax.

Your dog will be in a familiar, caring space, whether it’s their first visit or they’re one of our regulars. With a focus on individualized care, our team makes sure each stay is comfortable and enjoyable, from check-in to pick-up.

Our Rooms

When we tell our dogs to "make yourself at home," we mean it. That's why we've recreated living rooms inspired by meaningful places that have been a part of our Founder & Head Trainer's journey, whether from places he served in or milestones leading to our current facility.

Premium Suites: $85 per night

Austin Suite

San Antonio Suite

Standard Rooms: $65 per night

What to expect

Daily Exercise & Playtime

Every dog gets ample time to play and explore with our daycare group. With both indoor and outdoor play areas, they can enjoy off-leash fun, games, and socialization, all under careful supervision.

Customizable Feeding Plans

We follow your feeding instructions to keep your dog’s routine consistent. Bring their preferred food or let us provide balanced, nutritious meals they’ll love.

Health & Safety First

Safety is our top priority! Our staff is trained in pet first aid, and our facility is equipped with top-of-the-line cleaning and ventilation systems to maintain a healthy environment.

Enrollment Requirements

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all dogs, we require for the following as part of enrollment :

Health and Vaccination: All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP (distemper, canine adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvovirus), Canine Influenza, and Bordetella.
Temperament Evaluation: We conduct an assessment to understand your dog’s personality and make sure they’ll thrive in a group setting away from home.
Dogs in Heat: Any dogs in heat will not be eligible for boarding.
